Jamshedpur, Oct 16: A quiz competition was organised at the ongoing Swadeshi Mela at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.

The event aimed to promote awareness, knowledge, and the spirit of Swadeshi among students and youth.

The programme was graced by Amar Kumar Singh, Principal of Jamshedpur Co-operative College, as the Chief Guest.

Among the guests were Ajay Bhagarkey, Director of Spardha Publication; Shriman Trigun, Founder of Shriman Classes; Amitabh Senapati, Co-convener of Swadeshi Mela; and Rajpati Devi, District Convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch.

Addressing the students, Amar Kumar Singh said that the Swadeshi Mela is not merely a celebration of Indian culture and tradition but also a step toward realizing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

He added, “Swadeshi is not just about indigenous goods or clothing—it is a mindset, a value, and a national emotion.”

Guest speaker Ajay Bhagarkey highlighted that a quiz competition is not just a test of questions and answers but also a test of knowledge, quick thinking, and patriotism. “Those who know their country and uphold Swadeshi ideals are the true patriots,” he remarked.

Co-convener Amitabh Senapati informed that the main objective of organizing the quiz at the Swadeshi Mela was to inspire students and youth to embrace knowledge, awareness, and the philosophy of self-reliance.

The competition consisted of three rounds—General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Swadeshi India Special, and Audience Participation.

Quizmaster Shriman Trigun conducted the event, urging participants to compete with enthusiasm and discipline while contributing to the mission of a self-reliant India.

The event was presided over by Rajpati Devi, with Pratibha Rani Mishra delivering the welcome address.

The programme was anchored by Navneet Singh, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Akhil Kumar.

Hundreds of students from various universities, colleges, and technical institutions of the Kolhan region took part in the competition.
