Daltonganj, September 27: The splinter group of Naxals, Tirtiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) has become more ‘weaker’ and more in dread of the police despite claiming two lives of the brave cops of Palamu recently.

A senior lawyer here who handles cases of the Naxals and their families confided in this correspondent, saying, “The TSPC did gain media coverage for the killing of the two cops. But in reality, it is cursing itself for having such a fierce hostility breaking open now with the police.”

“The TSPC has never wanted a running feud with the police, trying to avoid direct contact or encounter with the police but it so happened that it got down two cops under the Manatu police station limits and from that day, this splinter group has been living in constant threat of liquidation here in Palamu”, shared the lawyer.

Splinter group of Naxals do cause momentary tremor of tragedy like this one, taking the toll of two cops, but when it comes to a renewed and well-strategised fight against it by the police, splinter group of Naxals collapses much faster than expected.

The lawyer further shared, “TSPC finds itself more a hunted thing than any victorious since every hour or day this outfit believes is going to be its anti-climax.”

Sources said police in Palamu are in no mood to give TSPC more days to thrive on.

Police sources said, “No Naxal outfit can be taken any lightly, nor can it be written off. TSPC’s formidability is to be crushed with might and manoeuvring.”
