Jamshedpur, August 30: The Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, has issued an alert for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across Jharkhand in the coming days, even as the state has already received 29% surplus rainfall during the ongoing monsoon season.

The monsoon trough currently passes through Bikaner, Banasthali, Damoh, Pendra Road, the centre of the low-pressure area, and extends southeastward into the east-central Bay of Bengal.

Current Weather Conditions in Jharkhand

Monsoon activity remained weak over the state during the past two days with only light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms at isolated places.
