Jharkhand Sports: Dhanbad athletic team announced for State Junior Championship

Dhanbad, Sept 18: The boys’ and girls’ athletic teams from Dhanbad have been announced for the upcoming State Junior Championship, scheduled to take place in Rajrappa (Ramgarh) on September 28-29.

Bandhan Toppo, General Secretary of the Dhanbad District Athletic Association, made the announcement, stating that the athletes were selected based on their performance in a two-day trial competition held on September 7-8 at the DAV Koyla Nagar ground.

“Top two players from each event have been selected to represent the district in the state championship,” said Bandhan Toppo.

Former national athlete Jayram Bhagat has been appointed as the team manager, with Sarfraj Khan serving as the coach.
