Dispute with BJP candidate over votes recount

Information indicates that Dinesh Jain, a recently elected Congress MLA from Ujjain’s Mahidpur assembly seat, attempted to tear apart Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bahadur Singh Chauhan’s application for a recount on December 3 at the counting centre.

Jain narrowly prevailed in the election and won by a margin of 290 votes, and in the aftermath, there were many disputes and altercations between the BJP and Congress candidates at the polling place over the recounting of votes. Following that, the police stepped in and calmed the situation.
