Two arrested from Gujarat for firing outside Salman Khan’s residence

Mumbai, April 16: The Bhuj police have apprehended two accused in the firing incident outside renowned actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, and they have been turned over to the Mumbai Crime Branch.

Vicky Gupta (age 24) and Sagar Pal (age 21) were apprehended late on Monday night from a temple premises in Mata No Madh village in Gujarat’s Kutch district, Deputy Inspector General of Kutch-West, Mahendra Bagadiya stated. The two individuals were on the run after firing outside Khan’s house on Sunday.

He stated that both of the accused are from West Champaran in Bihar and that they have both admitted to the crime.

Tip from Mumbai Police about presence of accused in Kutch

According to a release from Kutch-West police, local police activated its sources to track down the pair after receiving a tip from the Mumbai police that they might be in the Kutch district.

“Based on the technical surveillance and information received from informers, joint teams of the Kutch-West and Mumbai police nabbed the duo from a temple premises at Mata No Madh late Monday night,” Bagadiya stated.

He added that an initial investigation indicated that both Sagar and Vicky were enlisted by the imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s group to carry out the shooting at Khan’s residence.

On Sunday morning, a shooting incident took place outside Galaxy Apartments, the residence of the actor, involving two unidentified individuals who fired shots and quickly fled the scene.
