St Mary's School Alumni Association organises informative programme for special children

Jamshedpur, July: An engaging and heartwarming entertainment program was organized for special children (deaf and mute) at Sonari Bal Vihar Carmel School.

The event was conducted under the joint aegis of St Mary’s School Alumni Association and Interact Club, drawing the participation of 130 special children.

Congress leader, Ajoy Kumar graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address to the children, he emphasized the importance of determination and hard work, stating, “If you have decided that you want to become something, then physical weakness cannot be a hindrance to you. You just have to work hard to achieve your goal with honesty.”

He further highlighted the achievements of many disabled individuals who have demonstrated that nothing is impossible with passion and dedication.

Kumar also lauded the teachers of the school for their commendable efforts in supporting special children. He assured his continued support for the organization, recognizing their dedication and commitment. As a token of appreciation, Kumar was honoured with a shawl by the organization.

Gurusharan Singh, President of St Mary’s School Alumni, elaborated on the purpose of the program, emphasizing the development of special children through fun and interactive games.

The event featured a variety of activities, including painting and numerous entertaining games. Singh noted that the organization frequently organizes blood donation camps, medical camps, health checkup camps, and other programs aimed at the entertainment and development of children.

During the event, Kumar rewarded children who excelled in the various games. The program saw the presence of several notable individuals, including St Mary’s School Principal Dr. Varnan D’Souza, Bal Vihar Principal Sister Arshit, Ranbir Singh, Vishal Sachdev, Manjot Gill, Amrita Dhanjal, Rajiv Ranjan, Raja Singh Rajput, Rais Rizvi Chhabban, Rajiv Ranjan, Rakesh Sahu, and Ajit Ujjain.

The event was a testament to the power of community support and the resilience of special children in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.
