Here people just enter the coach of this train only to see its interior and here they suffer the most.

Daltonganj railway Station Superintendent Umesh Kumar has appealed to the common people who come here to see off their men and women and children by the Vande Bharat train not to enter the coach of this train.

He said, “It’s risky. Once the door of the coach of this Vande Bharat train closes, it will open only at the next stoppage or when the engine crew intervenes”.

He referred to a person who just stepped onto the coach of this train when the door of the coach got closed and the person travelled upto Barkakana without any purpose and was fined 2,500 rupees for having this unauthorised journey.

He said passengers who have valid tickets for this train are welcome to the coach but anyone seeing off a person must not get into the coach of this train as there is every risk of the door of the coach getting closed.

Automatic door operations

Vande Bharat train has automatic doors. It opens and closes automatically.

Such an incident happened on Sunday when this Vande Bharat train had made its first run here when two porters of the Daltonganj railway station just went into the coach and in the meantime, the door of the coach got closed.

The two porters just travelled up to Garhwa Road junction where they got down from the Vande Bharat train.

Appeal to respect protocol of a prestigious train

Daltonganj railway station Superintendent Umesh Kumar said, “It’s a prestigious train and hence one must respect its protocol.”

Umesh Kumar added, “People just get into the coach of the train to ensure the reserved seat or berth is free of any unauthorised occupancy for their people who have reservations to travel hassle-free. But here in Vande Bharat train a reserved seat is a reserved seat. It can’t be in use by any other passenger except the designated one. Hence one must avoid entering into the Vande Bharat coach without a valid ticket.”
