Bhopal, Dec 13: Mohan Yadav, the Ujjain South MLA of BJP, on Wednesday took oath as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

At the Lal Parade Ground in the state capital of Bhopal, Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath of office to the 58-year-old politician.

Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda were sworn in as deputy chief ministers, and former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will serve as the Speaker of the Assembly.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J P Nadda, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

The ceremony was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
