Dhanbad, May 4: Loco pilot Pankaj Kumar Singh (36) posted at Gomoh depot was crushed to death by New Delhi- Ranchi Rajdhani Express at Gajhandi station under Dhanbad Rail Division on Saturday early morning.

Backer pilot 

An official said the incident occurred at around 4.30 am on Saturday. He had gone to Gajhandi station from Gomoh as a backer pilot. After completing duty he was crossing the track when the accident happened.

Koderma RPF in-charge

Getting information, Koderma RPF in-charge Jawahar Lal.  Loco chief inspector SK Singh, East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) Gomoh branch BB Singh reached the spot immediately and sent the body for the post-mortem.

Pankaj was a resident of Munger

Pankaj Kumar Singh was a resident of the Munger district of Bihar and posted at Gomoh. After completing the formalities family members took away the body for last rites to Munger.

As the accident report reached Dhanbad  Rail Division headquarter shocked wave prevailed.

ECRKU senior office bearer Nil Kamal Khawas, BB Singh, vice-president Ajay Kumar, joint secretary Sanjiv Nayan, Loco pilot  Ajit Kumar, Prem Kumar, Dipak Kalyan, inspector Rahul Kumar Singh, assistant loco pilot Mukesh Kumar, trackman Santosh Roy, Vinay Kumar expressed deep shock over the tragedy and paid rich tributes to Pankaj Kumar Singh.
