Jamshedpur, Sept 8: Jamshedpur police have made a breakthrough in the sensational Rs 30 lakh robbery in Bistupur, arresting three accused, including the mastermind behind the crime.

According to officials, the key conspirator, a youth from Sakchi, had conducted a recce of businessman Saket Agiwal for nearly four to five days before executing the plan.

On September 4, the gang, travelling in an Innova car and a scooter, waylaid Agiwal near Bistupur Gurudwara. They threw chilli powder into his eyes and fled with the cash.

The criminals later stayed at a location arranged by the mastermind. Acting on leads, police arrested a youth from Seraikela on Sunday, identified as a resident of Rajnagar.
