SUBHASH MISHRA

Dhanbad, Jan 7: On the sixth day of their national convention, transgender individuals across the country participated in an impressive religious procession in Dhanbad for the welfare of their community and the nation.

Religious Procession and Traditional Worship

As planned, the procession began at Matkuria and ended at the famous Shakti Mandir on Joraphatak Road, where participants performed traditional worship by offering bells to the Goddess.

The event was a significant part of the 9-day national convention, which commenced on January 2 and will conclude on January 10. Over a thousand transgender individuals, from various states and even Nepal, joined the procession, which lasted four hours and covered a 3.6-kilometer route.

The participants, adorned in sarees and colorful attire, danced to both traditional and modern music, along with Hindi film songs, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the route.
