Jharkhand News: Two Naxals killed in Bokaro

Bokaro, Jan 22: In a major breakthrough, security forces eliminated two Naxals, including an area commander, during an operation in Bokaro district early Wednesday.

Among the deceased were Shanti, an area commander from Chatro village in Giridih district, and Manoj from Dhavatar village in the same district, though officials are still verifying their identities.

The operation, led by Jharkhand Police in coordination with the 209 CoBRA battalion, was backed by accurate intelligence inputs from the Intelligence Bureau and local authorities.

This strategic effort also resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, including an AK-47 and two INSAS rifles.

Authorities are currently analyzing the seized firearms and working to gather further intelligence to strengthen their ongoing efforts against Naxal activity in the region.
