Masked miscreants snatch gold chain from morning walker in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 3: Panic gripped the Kadma Link Road area on Friday morning after masked criminals snatched a gold chain from a football player at gunpoint during his morning walk.

The incident took place around 6 a.m. and created a stir among local residents.

According to sources, the victim, Ramdev Singh, was out for his routine morning walk when two bike-borne youths suddenly approached him near the Link Road.

Both assailants had their faces covered. An eyewitness said the miscreants first threatened Singh by brandishing a pistol and then swiftly snatched the gold chain from his neck before speeding away on their motorcycle.

On receiving the information, Kadma police swung into action, reached the spot, and launched a search operation by cordoning off the area.

CCTV footage from nearby locations is being examined to identify the culprits. Police officials have expressed confidence that the accused will be nabbed soon.

The morning robbery has left local residents alarmed, raising concerns over the growing number of street crimes.

Police assured that the culprits will be tracked down and brought to justice.
