Dhanbad, April 18: A special team of Dhanbad Police on Saturday arrested an arms supplier allegedly connected to the notorious Wasseypur gang.

The accused, identified as Naushad Alam (42), was caught near the Railway Zonal Training School in Guljarbagh under Bank More police station limits. Police recovered a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from him during a vehicle checking drive.

The arrest was made when Alam, who was riding a bike, failed to produce ownership documents. Upon further search, police discovered the illegal firearm and ammunition. Additionally, the motorcycle was found to be a stolen one.
